Info and Position

Villa Turchi is an old manor-house of the Turchi Family, built in the 17th century, a few metres from the fortified walls of the noble family castle of Malatesta (1059 AD)  in the historic center of Longiano.

It’s possible to reach the villa passing through the gate of the old bridge (13th century) and proceeding on the paved road for thirty metres. The main entrance, dominated by the stoneworked arch representing the family’s emblem (2 half moons), is on the right.

The villa was completely restored in 1971, and conserved, due to Belle Arti Institute, in its original splendor. Surrounded by high walls, the villa has a wide wooded garden with a relaxing area, a reading area and an outdoor barbeque. It is ideal for families and couples who want to spend unique moments, in complete relaxation, in the heart of an old medieval village.

fuochi artificialiThe villa has wifi connection, home entertainment, three common areas (two of which have fireplaces) a library, containing old precious volumes (from 1450 to the last century), and a table-tennis area at everyones disposal.

Longiano is  convenient for guests who want to spend their holidays enjoying culture, good food and being close to nature as well as those who want to enjoy the entertainments of “Riviera Romagnola“. Longiano, as a matter of fact, is just 20 Km away from the main entertainment spots such as Milano Marittima, Cesenatico, Rimini and Riccione.

Just 25 minutes away by car is the “Fiera di Rimini” which can be an easy way for those that come from the Cesena direction to avoid the city centre traffic. The exit for “Fiera” comes just after the highway’s exit to “Santa Giustina”

It also takes 25 minutes to reach the ancient Republic of San Marino and the magnificient Rocca di San Leo, which is a cultural spot, planned and designed by Francesco di Giorgio Martini (15th century) . It is well-known for its famous dungeons in which, in 1791, the “Count of Cagliostro” (swindler, playboy, sorcerer, illusionist, alchimist) was imprisoned. This enigmatic figure’s fate still shrouded in mystery.

Even closer is Sant’Arcangelo di Romagna (an old medieval village). Ravenna and Bologna are both 45 minutes drive away. Longiano’s hills, cultivated and crossed by picturesque rural paths, are ideal routes for excursions, hikes or bike-rides.
The special production of high quality olive oil and wine (Sangiovese, Trebbiano e Albana Dolce) makes these areas international tourist attractions.
